Trump would be humiliated if he lost the popular vote? He won a bigger percentage of the popular vote (46%) than bill Clinton (43%) in 1992 even though Clinton won the popular vote, its all relative and 3rd party candidates impact it. We are more divided than ever, the founding fathers gave us an electoral college to make sure mob rule was never an issue and to prevent civil wars. In fact, its the only reason smaller population states agreed to being united states rather than individual countries. if 51% tries to forever dominate 49% we will end up in a civil war and I don't think anyone wants that. thank god we had such wise amazing founders who foresaw so much. If only idiots could learn from them...

Joe biden's strategy since the "you ain't black" comment has been to hide from the public for weeks. He's hiding so no one can see his dementia and gaffs on display. just wait until the debates, there's no way Biden will come out looking good.

Biden has just said hes going to ban the sale of AR15s and institute a gun buy back program, right when gun sales have been record breaking. right when Americans have come to realize the left is insane and will burn down entire cities to get what they want. no one will support having their gun rights infringed on right now.
He's not hiding, Trump is his own worst enemy. All Biden has to do is continue to let Trump shit the bed. Doesn't even have to spend campaign dollars on that.

So regardless of how much you want to trash Biden’s strategies, they’re working. Even Texas isn’t a shoo in and it traditionally has been a Republican State. I think it hasn’t gone Democrat since the 60s or 70s and yet it’s an on-the-fence state right now.
Trump is in deep doo doo, and no amount of sarcasm or criticism on your part will change that.

1st of all, the polls in 2016 all favored hildawg by even bigger margins than biden right now, all the way up until the day before the election lol. next, I never said trump wasn't threatened, I said I expect the debates to have a negative impact on biden, I expect when he announces his running mate even more Americans will turn the other way as it becomes more obvious his VP is going to be running things, not him. Of course most people are politically disengaged and barely know whats going on. Most people just read news headlines, don't even read the full story let alone do their own research to discover the lies the democrat's engage in. Google alone uses extremely biased algorithms so people are always directed to narratives that favor the left. 98% of media coverage is negative against Trump. Trump has an uphill battle, the deep state has attempted several coups, the russia narrative, the impeachment, and now they are putting out stories that trump knew russia put bounties on american soldier's heads with zero evidence. and the pandemic which turmp isn't responsible for, the unemployment which was impossible to prevent, regardless of who is president. In fact, considering Biden was against the travel bans Trump made in January. Europe waited until weeks later to ban travel and they had it much much worse. the dems and MSM were downplaying covid themselves, encouraging people to go out and calling travel bans xenophobic, I think our numbers would be a lot higher if Biden were president. of course the left's obstruction and lies could work, and Trump could lose. It still won't unite the country. the right knows what they've been doing and will see fraud if biden wins, especially if mail in voting is broadly used. Just as the left will refuse to accept trump if he wins. The hatred and division is only going to escalate. and now we have a more tangible culture war. literally tearing down statues, people on the right are beginning to see a civil war as the likely outcome. whereas the left thinks they are just unopposed at the moment and are grabbing for as much power as possible. I guess, you guys think once trump is out everything will go back to "normal" and the right wont give back what is what given so you're pinning all of your hopes on Biden. who wins won't change a thing the left will just get a turn to play defense and the right will play offense.

LMAO, sure Jan.

Dems warm to Biden’s bunker strategy

Since the former veep launched his stay-at-home campaign, his lead has grown to double-digits in national polls.

Biden has shied away from numerous national TV interviews in favor of talking to local press, especially in swing states. The local hits make it harder for Republican groups to monitor Biden on TV and catch the gaffe-prone candidate making a mistake on video, the lifeblood of a campaign that is intent on portraying the former vice president as feeble-minded and weak.

I’m certainly not praying for that, watching him
lose in November will be loads more satisfying.

I don't think you all will get that lucky though. I can't see his ego allowing such a thing to happen.

Yeah, yeah.. you’re all hanging your every hope and dream on the polls from 2016 and wishing history repeats itself. Things now are different.
As I said, too cute how you’re all ignoring reality. Better start working on the “electoral fraud” protest signs because it seems like you’ll need them! 😂

If he drops out, do you think Pence would have a chance? What about a Pence/Haley ticket?
Oh god, I didn’t even think about that. Pence is worse than Trump IMO but I can see him having a better chance of getting elected.
That's why since the screeching for impeachment started before Trump was even inaugurated, I kept bringing up that then leaves us with President Pence. I don't think that would be good for ANYONE.

I always take with a big grain of salt anything that "anonymous sources" tell the media when it comes to Trump and other politicians.

However, quite some time ago, I had written (I think here? I am not sure) that I wondered if Trump would not want to return for a second term. Basically if he wasn't/isn't on the upside of everything going on, he might walk....or something to that effect.

These first six months of 2020 in particular have been a rough one for this country (for the world) and Trump is being blamed for a lot of it, which shouldn't be the case but hey...why not?

He likes winning. He likes his ego stroked. He likes applause and accolades. Four years ago, he shocked the world in that he actually ran for POTUS and even more, became the 45th.

The shock and awe isn't there anymore and the realities of being a nation's leader have long settled in. He's acquired more enemies (and people who downright hate him to the core, which is just bizarre to me) along the way than he had going in. He's made a lot of mistakes with some of the biggest being his love affair with Twitter and how he deals with both the press and those who criticize him. He has also made some very big mistakes in these four years and also with his attitude about Covid and that plays a role in how people view him now even more so and in an election year.

So would he walk away? I don't know but I will not say with 100% certainty that he won't.

First - I've never, ever claimed to be a fan of Trump. I simply don't suffer from this baseless, blind hatred that many of you seem to be afflicted with. There are things that he's done right, which I give due credit for. I evaluate him on those things, not some stupid comment he made 200 years ago when he was smack talking with a bunch of guys. That type of thing is insignificant to me to evaluate how someone will manage our country and keep world leaders in their place. I also find it off putting when people disrespect the sitting President. As much as I disagreed with Barry and his turning the country toward socialism, I never spoke about him the way that I see people speak about Trump. I think it's awful. So, if those things make me a fan in your mind, so be it.

Second - Based on Pence's record from when he was governor of Indiana, he's far too right leaning for my liking. For one thing, he's anti gay which is a big thing for me as an LGBTQA ally. Like actively anti gay. That's a huge turn off for me in a leader.

He's way too conservative in general, which I'm 100% confident would be much, much more objectionable to the liberals. I think the only people that would like him in charge are Opus Dei and Evangelicals.
