Every garage bay has the same door 'pull', not just the one poor bubba was assigned.

"Phelps said Thursday that the sanctioning body has checked all 29 tracks where it has national series events and 1,684 garage stalls. Only 11 had knots in a pull-down rope and only one – the one at Talladega – had a knot shaped as a noose. He said he did not know if it was a functioning noose."
I didn’t feel like googling but that’s what I thought happened.WellPreserved wrote: ↑Thu Jun 25, 2020 8:31 pm"Phelps said Thursday that the sanctioning body has checked all 29 tracks where it has national series events and 1,684 garage stalls. They're taller overhead doors, so they need something extending down off the handle to grab. It's the world's tiniest "noose". It's a type of knot that looks like a noose, and the loop is about the size of a hand. It's not anything big. It's a fishing knot actually, which doesn't tighten like a noose when pressure is applied. It stays stagnant, so it makes a good handle.Frau Holle wrote: ↑Tue Jun 23, 2020 7:46 pm They just had a noose lying around for a year?
Who uses a rope to pull open a door instead of the door handle?
And yet only one out of over 1600 garage stall door had one. And have you seen the picture of it? It looks bigger than a hand. It looks like a noose. It is tied like a fishing uni-knot, also called a gallows knot.Valentina327 wrote: ↑Thu Jun 25, 2020 8:57 pmThey're taller overhead doors, so they need something extending down off the handle to grab. Oh, ok. Sometimes my sentences are as clear as mud, I thought it might not make sense.SouthernIslander wrote: ↑Thu Jun 25, 2020 7:20 pmI know what you said and I was agreeing with you. It’s not a stupid assumption because it was a noose by definition. It just wasn’t used with racist intent apparently. I think people saying it was a stupid assumption doesn’t understand that.Lemons wrote: ↑Thu Jun 25, 2020 6:36 pmI said it was stupid for people not to understand why people assumed it was a noose. It turned out it wasn't but some people are claiming it was stupid to assume it was a noose.SouthernIslander wrote: ↑Thu Jun 25, 2020 3:53 pm
I saw this ratchet woman yesterday, she is apologizing is .
No, it wasn’t stupid because it was a noose, it just wasn’t placed there for racist reasons.
But it wasn’t stupid for NASCAR or Wallace to assume it was. I would have been WTF about it too and wanted to confirm the reason why it was put there, especially with the current racial tensions and how heated people are about NASCAR’s decision to ban confederate flags.
That was a close up pic. You know angles and lenses can change something small into something big, don't you?WellPreserved wrote: ↑Thu Jun 25, 2020 9:08 pmAnd yet only one out of over 1600 garage stall door had one. It seems to be at least as big or bigger as what looks to be the light or power switch on the wall to the right, which are usually about the size of a hand.Mommamia wrote: ↑Thu Jun 25, 2020 11:16 pmThat was a close up pic. That is not big enough to fit a head through it.WellPreserved wrote: ↑Thu Jun 25, 2020 9:08 pmAnd yet only one out of over 1600 garage stall door had one. And have you seen the picture of it?
