Fauci is a smart guy. Everyone knows they need to praise Trump like a South American dictator if they want to keep their jobs. Fauci understand that insatiable need for praise, it’s part of the job and he does it. He’s been successful so far getting the facts out and finding good things to say about Trump.
Cuomo and Fauci the most trusted during this crisis

I really think about those residents of NY as being on the front lines. My heart goes out to you all and hope that you stay safe.Lexy wrote: ↑Wed Mar 25, 2020 10:26 pm I am in NY and was not a fan of Cuomo but I have to say the man has stepped up above and beyond. We have 30,000 cases here and it is scary. Last Thursday in my county we had 80 cases today we hit 1000. My SIL and niece live in Long Island and are both nurses. My niece tested positive yesterday for the virus. Each day I watch him speak to NY and pray for him because this number will double by next week. He has brought a calm to NY. Politics aside right now I am thankful this man is our Governor.

I think it’s hit most people that this is serious, unlike a few weeks ago. I worry about the warmer weather and people getting sick of staying in before it’s safe to be out and about.Lexy wrote: ↑Wed Mar 25, 2020 10:35 pmI have not been out of the house in 15 days. But the stores have been trying to keep things stocked. BJ's & Target have delivered. I used Instacart and got most of what I need this week. That is a great app. I am in many local FB groups and the thing that is the hardest to get is TP, paper towels and hand sanitizer.Lemons wrote: ↑Wed Mar 25, 2020 10:29 pmScary in NYC when they tell everyone to check their temperatures but there are no thermometers in any of the stores. How are medical supplies where you are, thermometers, cough medicine over the counter, etc?Lexy wrote: ↑Wed Mar 25, 2020 10:26 pm I am in NY and was not a fan of Cuomo but I have to say the man has stepped up above and beyond. I am so worried about all the medical staff here. With so many cases they are bound to get sick. I am also concerned about the assholes that don't go by the rules.

My niece says the warmer weather will slow it down and open up a window to get a cure or vaccine available.Lemons wrote: ↑Wed Mar 25, 2020 10:50 pmI think it’s hit most people that this is serious, unlike a few weeks ago. That Trump needs constant praise from “his people” or they’re out of a job? Is there a grown American out there who doesn’t know this? Is this a surprise to you?Carpy wrote: ↑Thu Mar 26, 2020 7:51 amDid he tell you this?Lemons wrote: ↑Wed Mar 25, 2020 10:44 pmFauci is a smart guy. I've been thinking about that and I don't see how getting warmer is going to do anything except maybe keep it down on surfaces (It doesn't seem to like sunlight or heat). I don't see how it would stop it in those who are already carriers. Will you ask her?Carpy wrote: ↑Thu Mar 26, 2020 7:53 amMy niece says the warmer weather will slow it down and open up a window to get a cure or vaccine available.Lemons wrote: ↑Wed Mar 25, 2020 10:50 pmI think it’s hit most people that this is serious, unlike a few weeks ago.
