“No one reached out to me and said, as a senior citizen, ‘Are you willing to take a chance on your survival in exchange for keeping the America that all America loves for your children and grandchildren?’ And if that’s the exchange, I’m all in. … I just think there’s lots of grandparents out there in this country like me.”

— Dan Patrick, lieutenant governor of Texas

“We have to go back to work much sooner than people thought.”

— President Trump, who wants the country “up and raring to go by Easter”

YOUR COUNTRY STOCK MARKET NEEDS YOU! IS ASKING YOU TO GIVE YOURSELF, NEEDLESSLY AND TO NO ULTIMATE LONG-TERM BENEFIT!

So Dan Patrick, a draft dodger during the Vietnam War, and former failed businessman is now telling grandparents to sacrifice their lives for the good of the economy. Is that what Jesus would ask of us? To sacrifice our elderly to keep the money flowing? I get so confused on the conservative message.

Barfbarfbarfbarf.. I watched the whole interview to make sure I wasn't seeing that quote out of context. Nope. :( The vultures are definitely out in full force now.

He is a disgusting hypocrite. He opposes a woman's right to choose, but he's okay with the elderly dying needlessly.

🤦🏼‍♀️ This isn’t complicated. There are several factors that effect our economy and honestly, I’m so tired of repeating myself I’m not going to go into an Econ 101 lesson here. But I’ll make 3 points.

1.) A pandemic effects economy, even more so when the pandemic is so global as this is.

2.) A country’s leadership also effects a country’s economy. This hasn’t been our “fearless” leader’s moment of really shining and his vocabulary faux pas has gone from amusing or eye roll worthy that times down right frightening.

3.) We can either have a recession or a depression from this. Stay the course, get a strong handle on this and there’s a stronger likelihood of recession, BUT going back to business as usual without having this under control and we can be guaranteed a depression. I’d rather wade through a recession than suffer through a depression.

The thing is POTUS is a gambler in business. That's why he has so many bankruptcies. That's his business model - take the chance, but if you fail, use the legal system to get out as unscathed as possible. His way is not the way to run a nation. It won't work.

But I'm still the winner! They lied! They cheated! They stole the election!

Aren't most grandparents retired? My mother and father are both in their 80's and they've been retired for a while now. How exactly are retired people, who live on fixed incomes supposed to save the economy?

By sacrificing their health and potentially their lives. And it’s not just the elderly, it’s anyone considered high risk for death from this. He just doesn’t have the vagina to state what he really means.
