AG Barr investigated Mueller beginning - Doesn't like results

Attorney General William P. Barr hand picked a prosecutor to investigate how our intelligence agencies came to investigate President Trump’s 2016 campaign and Russia's involvement. The right wing base of Trump has all these conspiracy theories that there was a set up and everyone out to get Trump.

Horowitz’s draft report concludes that political bias did not taint how top FBI officials running the investigation handled the case. Barr, of course, is not happy with the outcome and was hoping for a different outcome.

Horowitz’s report goes in to detail about the reason the Russian investigation was opened in the first place. The investigation started when the Australian government informed the United States government that George Papadopoulos, a Trump campaign aide, had bragged to their Ambassador about Russia having political dirt on Clinton.

The investigation then found that Russia had hacked Democratic emails and stolen information that might be damaging to Clinton’s campaign.

As in any detailed investigation, there some questionable conduct. A low level FBI agent is under criminal investigation for changing an email to try and get a warrant. The inspector also wrote they would have gotten the warrant anyway.

Too bad, Barr. the Russian investigation was legitimate just like anyone with half a brain has already determined.

Just continuously amazed that some choose to find it easier to believe that a whole host of agencies and career federal employees and diplomats are in on some large conspiracy against trump, a man who at worst can only wreak havoc for 8 years, and that that same man, despite lying literally every single day, is somehow the only honest person in DC, than to believe that Trump did a bad thing and got caught. The mental gymnastics are truly impressive.
