He knows his base. That is his sole reason behind his decisions. To get elected again. His base loves this shit. They live for it. Even though most are one step away from food stamps.

We aren't ignorant and he is not pandering to us. Whether its the majority of able bodied adults who get food stamps or a mere 10% of able bodied adults who get food stamps there is nothing wrong with people working for them. Again, able bodied is the key phrase here.
There is only so much money the government has to give to people. I'm sure the budget is being seriously depleted because of the number of illegals the government is supporting.
He is pandering to the most ignorant people in this country. His base. Here are the requirements now:

The Able Bodied Adult Without Dependents (ABAWD) Work Requirement and Time Limit
If you are age 18 – 49, able to work, and don’t have any dependents, you might need to meet both the general work requirements and an additional work requirement for ABAWDs to get SNAP for more than 3 months in 3 years (the time limit). You can meet the ABAWD work requirement by doing any one of these things:

Work at least 80 hours a month. Work can be for pay, for goods or services (for something other than money), unpaid, or as a volunteer;
Participate in a work program at least 80 hours a month. A work program could be SNAP Employment and Training or another federal, state, or local work program;
Participate in a combination of work and work program hours for a total of at least 80 hours a month;
Participate in workfare for the number of hours assigned to you each month (the number of hours will depend on the amount of your SNAP benefit.)

There was a three month time period where able bodied could receive food stamps as they re-enter the work force with some flexibility. That's what will change. Wow. Big F***ing deal. But his base is loving it.

Were you maybe not aware that Forbes removed him from that list because he lied to get on it? Gosh, how embarrassing for you.

“In 1985, Trump appeared by himself on the Forbes 400 list of America’s richest people for the first time, after inventing a fake persona to lie about a transfer of wealth from his father.

Forbes fell for that ruse—taking Fred Trump off the list and listing Donald alone. But five years later, we published an explosive story, uncovering the trouble brewing inside Trump's empire. Leaning on nonpublic documents, Forbes writers Richard L. Stern and John Connolly identified the same sort of profitability problems that are still making headlines 29 years later. Forbes took Donald Trump off its list for the first time that year, explaining that a “decline in Atlantic City gaming revenues, unmasking of misstated asset values, declining real estate values and massive debt may have put The Donald within hailing distance of zero.”

https://www.forbes.com/sites/danalexand ... 513a4d33d9

Anyway, I said he doesn’’t know how to make money, not that he didn’t have access to any.

I don’t really think of inheriting hundreds of millions, dodging taxes, stiffing the people who do work for you, lying to investors, getting questionable loans from foreign banks, defaulting on legitimate debts, defrauding students, and straight up stealing charitable donations as “making money” but cool if you have different standards i guess.

Even with an endless trail of failed businesses, bankruptcy, theft and fraud in his wake, he’d still have more money if he’d just stuck his dad’s handout into a low risk index fund. He bankrupted a CASINO for pete’s sake!

Incredible that Trump is still able to con people. He had to move it to the middle of the country but he found an new audience to con.

People getting excited about Trump's announcement have no concept of the large number of working poor who get food stamps.
Imagine being the kind of people who get excited about something like this? It’s usually the people who are bitter because they make 10 cents more per hour to qualify themselves. Working class pitted against each other.

I agree.
