Delaney was #2 for me.
He’s from Maryland and was elected to represent District 6 - Western MD, traditionally very conservative area. Yet he collided with then Governor O’Malley to gerrymander the districts so a liberal elite from Montgomery County will always now represent Western Maryland. That’s how he got in. Then as soon as elected, he started running for President, not doing a darn thing for the people he was elected to serve. A real POS. I think he announced his candidacy for President on 11/15/2016 🙄
Thanks for filling me in.

Well despite apparently agreeing with him on many things, he will NOT be receiving my vote.

Piece of work from the sound of things.
You’re welcome.

He’s also a big proponent of the “rain tax” that O’Malley installed and Governor Hogan repealed as one of his first things to do. Basically, they gauged the rainfall and taxed us a percentage equivalent to the rainfall and gave all that money to Baltimore for storm water drainage system maintenance... although I don’t think they ever used it for that. Many of the Baltimore leaders have pocketed money. I was ready to move out of Maryland when we had a really rainy year, that tax made me so mad 😡
Is that a Stormwater Runoff fee?

A previous mayor (John Peyton) in my county did that.

But I'm still the winner! They lied! They cheated! They stole the election!

Sort of - but only for Baltimore city yet the whole state was taxed. I’d normally support a minor tax for infrastructure, I think so much of our systems are severely outdated and damaged, but this was unfairly applied, unfair in calculations and not used appropriately.

In theory, I suppose that it would go to maintenance of your drainage system would be a....thought-provoking idea.

But as often is the case, the taxes not going to where it's promised demonstrates deceit and dishonesty.

This is why so many take such strong issues with local/state/federal taxes being imposed.

I don't blame you for being mad.

We nearly match the first five.

I didn't vote for Trump though. I'm not sure about these results overall.

KnotaDinghy wrote: Tue Dec 03, 2019 11:20 pm I got very interesting results.
I’m insulted Delaney ranks second - highly insulted by that actually.

I expanded all sections and thought about my answers before responding so I was as accurate as possible.

I wouldn’t have voted for Trump in 2016 if Rubio had stayed in. But no way was I wasting my vote taking a chance that Hillary would get in, so when he was the nominee, he got my anti-Hillary vote. This time around he has proven at least 60% way that he can make good on a fiscally conservative agenda, so i’ll Gladly support his re-election.
I'm not trying to be a dick but I genuinely do not understand your last sentence. Trump has added something like 4 trillion to the national debt.

Ours is pretty messed up too, but as far as I'm aware, it's just our city. It's only 60 dollars a year, and I don't really mind, but we don't have underground utilities. Just ditches and creeks. And it kind of backfired on them because now they have to replace residential driveway culverts (although it takes them about three years, lol).

sure I would, a right wing populist candidate who supported a moratorium on all immigration for the next 10 years would be stiff competition.

and you would consider trump? especially since you claim to be a conservative? bet you wouldn't consider THAT alternative huh? why? because you consider things he supports abhorrent. well, the same applies from my POV. its all subjective. as far as the democrats, hell no. deal breakers for me:

open borders
incentivizing illegal immigration
infringement of the 2nd amendment
socialism
tax payer funded abortion on demand until birth

Welp, that eliminates ALL of them.

thanks for the typical snide remarks though!

Read the abortion law in N.Y. that's been signed in. That's what she's talking about. I believe Virginia is trying something similar. I'm not 100% on the state, but another is going that way or at least trying to. And they celebrate this.

Look at what's happening in reality before you impugn others.

Reality? YOU are talking about reality when you call everyone a socialist unless they’re a right wing conservative Republican!
🤣😂😆
Impugn you!
