Miami is a lot more pleasant in August than north Florida. And hurricanes are predictable weeks out. I'm not quite sure why you mentioned this. How long were you there? Did you not get word that Florida had a chance of a hurricane before you visited?Lemons wrote: ↑Sun Oct 20, 2019 1:24 pmI know I want to be in Miami in the summer with it’s 100% humidity and hurricanes. I think with the financial situation Doral is in, he would do it at "cost", all while looking down the road at the advertising available if it had been held there.

I like to go on vacations in places off season because I hate crowds. That part was perfect, it was very quiet. I’m used to hot humid summers in the northeast but they don’t compare. I don’t really think of the extremes like blizzard and hurricanes. Probably why we’ve been stuck in blizzards, torrential rains and hurricanes.CockatooCrazyColt529 wrote: ↑Sun Oct 20, 2019 8:18 pmMiami is a lot more pleasant in August than north Florida. We were supposed to be there for two weeks but only six days before they had a mandatory evacuation. I also didn’t know that they evacuate days before it hits, thats how little I knew.
Why is north Florida worse?
We went to Orlando in June one year. The only place that wasn't miserable was by the pool!!Lemons wrote: ↑Sun Oct 20, 2019 1:24 pmI know I want to be in Miami in the summer with it’s 100% humidity and hurricanes. I don't think she understands.Lemons wrote: ↑Sun Oct 20, 2019 6:40 pm He would be receiving millions of dollars worth of advertising. There's no way around the fact that he would profit. And I doubt he's willing to give everyone free room service, free spa treatments, free alcohol, etc.
Plus who wants to be in Miami in August? It's the most unpleasant time of the year. It's definitely not the best place for the G7 meeting.

Why didn't he submit the plans and cost in a contract of sorts to congress?

He's forbidden by the Constitution to do business with foreign governments. He's also forbidden to do business like that with this government.

I suppose that would be a valid argument on the advertisement. I was just wondering how he was expecting to get around it and thought maybe he was going to donate everything so to not make a profit.

I understand going on vacation in the off season, but Floridas hurricane season doesn't end until November. And South Floridas tourist season never really ends. You still have to pay attention to what's happening with weather predictions from a few thousand miles away from our state. Planning a two week vacation and having to evacuate eight days in tells me you should have checked the forecast.Lemons wrote: ↑Sun Oct 20, 2019 8:33 pmI like to go on vacations in places off season because I hate crowds. "I don't really think of the extremes like blizzard and hurricanes. Probably why we've been stuck in blizzards, torrential rains and hurricanes" says a lot. I can't imagine planning a vacation to other states without checking the weather predictions a bit ahead of taking off. Which hurricane was this?
A lot more sticky and humid. Hotter than south Florida. Less ocean breezes because it's not the tip of the peninsula.

Is there a reason they shouldn’t throw a “tantrum” when an elected president is spitting on the constitution?AZLizardLady wrote: ↑Sun Oct 20, 2019 12:26 am It was never appropriate for the summit to be held there.
I'm sure the Democrats will find something else to throw a tantrum about so taking this out of the running for more fodder was wise.
How do you do it? You admit it was never appropriate based on our constitution and then in the next thought you seem to think it something the democrats did wrong.
