Well duh. Those of us who actually know history have already been saying that.
The comments by Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-Mich.) on a Yahoo News podcast last week about the formation of the Jewish state following the Holocaust were deeply disturbing.

Not only because of major historical inaccuracies but, even more so, because this was another blatant example of minimizing the utter evil, desolation, humiliation and systematic destruction of the Holocaust, which led to the defining phrase “Never again” and the creation of Israel.

Contrary to the congresswoman's revisionist history, Jews were never given “a safe haven” in Palestine. Most Palestinians were against the formation of the Jewish state from the outset. The Palestinian leader during the Holocaust, Mufti Haj Amin al-Husseini, closely collaborated with Nazi propagandists and organized thousands of troops to form Nazi-backed auxiliary military and support units to decimate Jews.

She meant given by The British...

“Give” is a key word there...

Oddly enough when discussions were going on deciding where to give Jewish people a land of their own, both Israel and Uganda were on the list of possible places.

No. Unless you can show up where she says the British and or where she clarified she "meant" something else.

The British gave a country away that wasn't theirs, to begin with.

Actually, it was a British territory. After being defeated in WWI, the Ottoman Empire conceded those territories to the League of Nations (later, the UN) to arrange administration of those territories. In fact, “Palestine” didn’t exist before the partition of the Ottoman Empire. And after that, it was the BRITISH Mandate of Palestine, it wasn’t and independent country.
And it was right after the declaration of war against the Ottomans that Britain released the Balfour Declaration, stating its intent to establish a Jewish state in the area if they won the war. A second declaration was issued in 1926. By then those territories belonged to the UK, not to the “Palestinians”.

Why people accept antisemitism from Muslims as “eh...the Muslims have reason to hate them” just blows my mind.
