How is that backfiring?
I'd expect the crowd at a Bernie event to be as socialist leaning as he is.
That's odd to expect otherwise.

It was a FOX News Town Hall held in Bethlehem, PA. The network controlled who was in the audience.KnotaDinghy wrote: ↑Tue Apr 16, 2019 2:24 am How is that backfiring?

A whole lot of people realize some form of medical insurance for all is reasonable and needs to be put into place. I'd say a basic policy for everyone should be in place and for now, people who want to pay for more fancy policies can purchase them. That would mollify the insurance companies until they fall by the wayside. Eventually, they will be the managers of insurance for the government and not the actual insurance providers.

Socialist is how Bernie identifies himself.TheQueenOfEverything wrote: ↑Tue Apr 16, 2019 9:44 am B66B1BD7-697E-402F-8E66-83CC5D74A341.jpegKnotaDinghy wrote: ↑Tue Apr 16, 2019 2:24 am How is that backfiring?

I'd assume that a good majority of his supporters that go to his Town Halls might identify the same way.
So again, I wouldn't expect the crowd to have reacted any differently to his proposed plan, which is very socialist leaning.

Soooooooo - people WANT the government to give free healthcare but DON'T want the government to say what a woman can do with her body? Sorry grandma, it's too much money for the government to give you that life saving surgery. You're 75, retired, and considered past your prime. The money is used for the younger people who can earn more money for the government. hahaha...

Every single other first world country on earth has some version of UHC, yet the scenario you describe does not occur in any of them. Explain?

Something Obama stated during one of his speeches q&a that stuck with me. And it does happen. Do you know how long you have to wait for an appointment in those places? They have many, MANY complaints - are you listening to them?TheQueenOfEverything wrote: ↑Tue Apr 16, 2019 10:29 am Every single other first world country on earth has some version of UHC, yet the scenario you describe does not occur in any of them. Are you listening to the many, many people who are saying those things aren’t accurate?
How many people do you actually know that live in UHC countries?
