To make a long story shorter Just under a month ago I went to a new specialist doctor. He wanted to change the dosage on one of my meds plus add another. I had just gotten a refill the day before of the meds I was already on and he gave me the new inhaler in his office. So I didn’t feel the need to go to the pharmacy since the dr was gonna call in the meds. It was time to get refills and I went to the pharmacy but the dr never called it in. And now I have to wait till Wednesday cause it’s on order and they close early today and I leave town early Sunday till Wednesday.

Does your pharmacy offer you the option to be notified when your RX is ready? Though that won't help your case this time, it might be something to consider for future orders.

If you don't want to wait until Wednesday for the RX, you could call another pharmacy, ask them if they have it, and then have the RX transferred to that pharmacy.

Unless you're going to die or be critically I'll without out then 5 days doesn't seem like a huge deal.

they actually did text me this morning to let me know my stuff was ready. I made the mistake of just assuming they had the new stuff with it. When i went to pick it up i found out they never had the new order. by the time the dr's office sent it over and they called to let me know that I was going to have to wait till Sunday it was almost closing time. If they had told me this morning after i showed them the old inhaler the dr had given me that they were not going to have it today I would of had the dr send it elsewhere.

I should be okay till Wednesday. Its only the new medicine that I've only been on about a month. If it was one of my other meds I would of had an issue. Its just since i started taking this medicine I've felt better than I have in months.

See if the rx can get transferred to a pharmacy where you'll be Sunday or if the rx is available at another pharmacy in town. The pharmacist can transfer the rx to another pharmacy with a phone call and a fax machine if necessary.

The pharmacy and the dr's office are closed till Sunday. I'm going to call Sunday morning before i leave to see if i can either pick it up or transfer to a Walgreens which I'm sure has the stuff its pretty common i think. and i can grab it before i head out. but I'm leaving 11:00 on Sunday morning.

Can't you get it sent to a pharmacy where ever it is that you are going? We've done that before.

I'm sure there are plenty of pharmacies over there but i don't plan on leaving the hotel/casino while I'm there. I don't drive so getting around is difficult.
