This.
Even as a young person i never wanted a big wedding. As I got older the cost of a wedding was a serious waste of money. It's one day, a couple of hours. Considering more than half of marriages end in divorce it was always a no for me.
$50 for a license and a church pastor in a very private ceremony. No regrets

Not much. My 2nd wedding was a small affair. I think I spent a total of under 10 thousand.. I had a handful of guests. We had the wedding at a hotel in the governors suite.

A LOT. If I had to do it over again, I'd go to a small chapel, take our vows, and walk into the sunset together. But "doing it over again"???? That ain't ever happening again for me.
