I had to google the name of it, because I couldn’t remember the name. I knew it was a John Grisham film I’d watched before, though.

It’s The Client with Tommy Lee Jones and Susan Sarandon. Based on a novel by John Grisham. It’s a great movie.
Susan Sarandon was nominated for an Oscar.

I saw it when I was little so it would be a 90s movie and it's been driving me crazy for years. I only remember one part. A kid gets into a car with a man and then realizes that the man has the car rigged to fill with carbon monoxide through a hose. The kid somehow ends up getting out of the car, but the man kills himself. Kid goes home and is in shock. There is a brother involved? I know that's not much but that's all I've got.

I loved that movie as a kid, lol. Probably explains a lot. I think it was a book first.
