I had the same thought when I read the original post.
I had to google the name of it, because I couldn’t remember the name. I knew it was a John Grisham film I’d watched before, though.

It’s The Client with Tommy Lee Jones and Susan Sarandon. Based on a novel by John Grisham. It’s a great movie.
Susan Sarandon was nominated for an Oscar.

I loved that movie as a kid, lol. Probably explains a lot. 🤣 I think it was a book first.
