It is protocol if there is something major, an injury, or a sudden change. We have frequent fallers who fall all the time without injury and I will have someone call in the morning instead. She hasn't ever had a fall with us and it was a bad injury.

I know it was directed at me mostly because I called the family last night. My patient fell in the shower and broke her arm. She was sent to the hospital. I called to inform them of the situation.

I hate families like this one.
f**k them, I would call them every single time the lady shit and give them an update on the color and texture
It's care planned now to not call at night unless she dies so I can't.

Her two daughters and son are listed.

The charge nurse was going to talk to me but I said there was no point after seeing the sign and reading the progress notes.
