Oh yes. They still remind me of it to this day. "Remember that time when we were all drunk, except you, and you still ended up at the wrong truck, while we didn't?" haha. I'll never live it down.

I've already gotten into a car and put my key in the ignition & wondered why it wouldn't start! And my poor daughter...She was in high school at the time. She was going to choke me for putting her into that embarrassing situation! We laugh about it a lot now, though, years after the fact.

Well, we were getting ready to leave, and I told my friends I would meet them back at my truck, and drive them home. I get off the elevator on the floor I thought I was parked on. I see my truck. No big deal. I drop the tailgate, and sit there waiting for my friends to come out. This guy comes walking out of the elevator, and he looks very confused. He asked me if he could help me. I told him no, I'm fine, just waiting for my friends. He tells me I'm sitting on his tailgate. I told him that he was mistaken, because this was my truck. Just then my phone rang. It was my friend asking where I was, because they were waiting at my truck. I apologized, put his tailgate up and walked away. Seriously, our trucks were the same color, neither of them had plates on them yet, so both had the dealer plates, which was the only Ford dealer in town. They were identical. Turns out, I had parked one level up, in the same area of this truck. I've never been so embarrassed before lol. My friends still give me the business about that, and it happened in 2003.

I was in my twenties and I was stopped at an intersection. This guy is on the sidewalk next to me. He smiles and walks across the front of the car and goes to grab the driver's side door to open it. I don't even know this guy. I put the car in gear and drive off before he can open it. The look on his face is pure shock. He mistook me for someone else, probably. Maybe my doppelganger. I met a man that was a dead ringer for my middle brother once. It was spooky.

I remember another incident, probably around 10 years ago. Dh and I were vacationing in Hawaii. We were walking to the beach when a guy approached us and started chatting. He was being friendly, so dh just kept an eye out. But after a minute, I realized he was high on something good. I had sunglasses on, but I kept eying dh like 'watch him!' and keeping my cool otherwise. He insisted on kissing me up the arm ala Gomez Addams, otherwise he was harmless. But so creepy! He eventually thanked me, shook dh's hand, and walked away when we told him we had to go.

Ok, I was the crazy person, but there was alcohol involved, and I can’t stand a thief.
Maybe nine or ten year ago, I’m in a bar with a group of friends. We have several liquor bottles sitting on our table, including my bottle of rum which is in a brown bag from the liquor store and has my brush in it since I don’t carry a purse. At some point, someone notices that my brown bag is gone. Several of us walk around the bar until we find two girls at the bar with what looks like my bag and liquor. I mention to them that they’re at the table next to us, and that I think they grabbed my bottle by mistake. They insist that they did not. We go back and forth a couple of times, me saying I understand that it was an accident, them saying they didn’t take my bottle. I finally snatch it from her hand and say well then I guess my brush isn’t in here, pull my brush out of the bag, punch her in the face, and walk away.

Reminds me of when I was a kid. Me and my brothers had gone to the store with my Dad. We ran ahead of him to the car when we were done as my Dad had given my brother the key. Get to the car and the key won't work. We are thinking wth this is our car? It wasn't our car. Just identical in every way including having the same make and model of my brother's çarseat inside in the same spot lol.

At my old job this man came out of nowhere and started going crazy on my coworker’s Range Rover. He beat it with a chain, busted the windows and tore the mirrors off among other things. I have it recorded. We were all just standing there in awe behind the door of course, which was glass so we’re kind of dumb, lol.

HAHA! Did you read that one about the lady that came out, and someone was washing the window on her car? She hugged him, and told him she loved the gesture he was making. He had no clue what she was talking about. Then she realized she had parked her car in front of his. So she just walked away lol. Its bound to happen to everyone at some point in their lives.

A woman I'd never met before stopped me on a sidewalk and asked if ***** was my mother. I said yes. She'd gone to college with my mother but had lost touch after graduation. I looked so much like her she knew right away whose daughter I was.

It was so weird that two complete strangers visiting NYC would encounter each other on a sidewalk and have that connection.

I was walking from a hotel next door to cvs with my kids. A homeless man on a bench started screaming and pointing to my dd (3) that one. Take that one! I grabbed her hand and she got mad at me so at this point I'm dragging my tantrum throwing daughter down the sidewalk towards the store as fast as I can while this man screams to some invisible person across the street. Thankfully my son didn't struggle when I grabbed his hand.
After that we came up with a code word for whenever one of us doesn't feel the situation is safe. If i say that word my kids know not to mess around they listen to anything I say no matter what.
