I put my kids on a flight out of Vegas this morning. I've never seen the Vegas airport so quiet. But it was nice because there were hardly any lines so it was a breeze, even getting through security.
Most people were good about keeping a 6ft distance and most people were wearing a mask. The flight itself was less than half full (they announced the numbers before boarding) so I'm sure my boys had a whole row to themselves. At regular intervals in the airport they kept having automatic announcements about keeping a 6ft distance and wearing a mask. They also had a regular announcement saying only ticketed passengers and employees should be in the airport. While I escorted the boys through security and to their gate, DH waited in the baggage area and watched Netflix on his phone. He was not interested in going through security. Well at one point a Metro officer approached DH and asked him if he was a passenger or an employee. DH said no but explained our situation and the officer was cool with it. But they were at least looking out and asking.
If only flying could be that easy all the time. lol
It was kind of eerie but nice.
It’s really strange not to see flights lined up as they use to be (I am also a Vegas Resident).

To go spend time with my sister. They do it every summer, and the tickets were bought before covid, and we decided as long as the flight was still on we would still send them. They are thoroughly enjoying themselves.Anonymous 2 wrote: ↑Sat May 23, 2020 6:37 am Why did you put them on a flight?
Wow, way too much of a risk for me for something like that.Traci_Momof2 wrote: ↑Tue May 26, 2020 2:56 pmTo go spend time with my sister.
