You're probably correct. However, no SAHM that *I* know ( and I know a lot since I am one) would expect their 10 year old to have zero down time in a day at all. That is just insanity. I don't know any fathers that expect that of the SAHM either. ( keeping the oldest child occupied 24/7/365)

I wouldn’t pay anything for that. I didn’t have kids to pay someone else to basically be their parent. If I was so well off I would take the opportunity to spend more time with them, not look for ways to dump them on someone else.

To do the job of nanny, housekeeper, teacher and chef id say about $50-75 an hour.

I agree. 15 minutes of TV a day? WTH? That’s not even one complete show. It’s ridiculous.
My kids have an hour of TV/gaming time normally. Sundays and vacations they get more.
