I am devastated. I don't know how to handle this one. ((Warning))((Worst possible update))

My sister was at a 4th of july party and they were all swimming, everyone came inside and as they were fixing dinner to be served, the kids went to the play room to play. Her three year old son left the room, and fell into the pool.
He's been at the hospital for days now, and there is no brain activity.

I am devastated for her, sick to my stomach, and at a loss for even what to say. She had only left the playroom for minutes, and her whole world was destroyed.
She is an amazing mother that devoted her entire world to this child. How do you possibly even breathe after something like this? How will she ever be ok again if he doesn't make it ? I'm in another state, so I can't be there with her through everything, but mom, her husband and family are there now. I'm looking up flights right now.

Update:

He was taken off life support yesterday. He passed peacefully in his mother's arms. This whole thing seems so unfair. She was the best mother in the world, and in the few minutes it took her to go help make a salad to serve at dinner, he was gone.

That's so sad. I knew a kid about 14 years ago. About the same age who that happened too. They had to pull the plug.
