Apparently I'm a bad dog owner

I keep getting comments when I take my dog in public that I need to be a better owner and keep her out of things that can get all over her.
This morning we took her to dog training. The first thing the trainer asks is what she has all over her face and how did she get into it. Seriously? I just said "fur?" And she goes "oh that's her natural markings? It looks like you put makeup on her and she smeared it!"
Who puts makeup on their dog? I seriously want to make her something that says its just her coloring.

Before this can make any sense at all, I need to see a picture of your dog.

Ahh, she looks sweet. Are they referring to the markings on her muzzle?

Lol, I cannot believe random people tell you to train your dog, due to her coloring.

Sorry, maybe it could happen once, but I'm not buying that multiple strangers and a dog trainer are lecturing you because it looks like your dog might have mud on them while on a walk.
