Don't text while driving. Don''t text while stopped at stop signs and traffic lights. You're not a four year old...exercise some self-control.

If there’s a bunch of kids, I can see the need.
Not quite the same but my son once fell into our wood burning stove while camping. Total freak accident, and he ended up with 3rd degree burns on his hands and wrist, we used a gate around it after that.

Oh dear. I've never known anyone who actually had a kid get burned by a campfire. I tried to think back if there were any rules when we were kids or what we did when ours were little. mostly it was just swimming pool rules...no running by the fire.LuckyEightWow wrote: ↑Sat Apr 20, 2019 2:18 pm If there’s a bunch of kids, I can see the need.

I gotta say, I think the gate ruins the whole thing.

It looks goofy, but I can see the need if there are kids around.
We were camping once and they had in-ground fire pits. We were walking back to the campsite and the fire was really low, dd was running ahead of us, didn’t see it in the dark, and fell in. Dh snatched her out and got her under the hose but it had started melting her shoes and burned part of her foot.
Freak accidents happen even when you’re paying attention.
