Do you think the punishment was a little much?

This happened to my friends’ kids.

A few kids in pre-k were playing house at school. They are all four. The two playing mom and dad live next door to each other and spend quite a bit of time with each other between houses. Their parents are good friends.

Anyway, “Timmy” walks into the house pretending he just got off work. He pats “Sally” on the butt, kisses her cheek and says hello. She turns around, kisses his cheek, and says “dinner in ten. Can you get the kids ready?”

The teacher stops them, takes them to the office, and the principal calls the parents. Both sets of parents found it kind of funny and figured a conversation about appropriate school behavior would be the end of it.

Nope. Both kids suspended for two days. From freaking PreK.

That’s about the dumbest thing I’ve read in at least a week, and I read a lot of dumb shit on here.

That's ridiculous. They were mimicking what they see and there's nothing wrong with what they saw.

I do feel that is a bit of an extreme consequence for role modeled behavior.

Same here. It isn’t like they were high schoolers making out.

SMH. Overkill. They are little kids. Just explain to them that is not okay. They were mimicking what they probably see from their own parents at home. Not a big deal.

I actually get it. The 2 playing like that learned it from watching at home. The other children will learn it from watching them play it. Then when little Scotty does the same to a little Sally, Sally may feel uncomfortable. Thus the school allowed the teachings of sexual harassment.

That's just dumb. They shouldn't have been suspended, and they shouldn't have gone to the principal's office. The teacher should have just talked to their parents when they came to pick them up.
