He had plenty of time to do it earlier in the day and he knew what time we were going to start the movie, He decided to procrastinate. He isn't under too much pressure, he just made a bad time management choice.

You asked our opinions though so don't be dismissive. I've vomited from anxiety before. It may be that's not his problem but at least consider it. Idk if the kumon is through his school or a tutoring program you're doing but certainly working on time management is a good idea. I'd tell him in such and such time we're starting the movie. You need to have your homework done or you'll miss the movie. I found saying this helps my boys plan to finish things on time.

If they are really upset and have been crying for awhile, they'll throw up. It doesn't happen often though.
Crying till puking is not normal at that age

I've cried hard enough I threw up. Neither of the kids ever did.
The oranges of the island are like blazing fire
Amongst the emerald boughs
And the lemons are like the paleness of a lover
Who has spent the night crying.
My soul was ripped to shreds on 10/27/14

Oh yes-I've seen it before. Good friends' child did that when he was put to bed. Eventually he got over it.
