I need help! Health related

I need to be tested for possibly having a autoimmune disease or possibly more than one. I need to see a specialist. I have been Google searching on how to get be tested whatnot. The issue I am having is, there are SO MANY different specialists out there to see. I dont know who to go with! There is rheumatoid, gastroenterology, endocrine, hematologist, nephrologist... ? Im overwhelmed.

Now I know generally people would ask their regular doctors for this, and I have. I am tired of asking her. I have asked twice already and both times she said "well lets run some tests and I can tell you if there is anything to worry about". Each time I have been "tested" all my labs come back perfect! I know know this is wrong! There is something not right and every one else around me has been hammering this to me also, that I need to see an autoimmune specialist. They know something is not right. I dont know why my blood work would be coming back fine when I'm suffering the way that I am.

Im in pain constantly. My joints all over my body feel like glass. After consuming certain foods I feel like I have the flu and my organs feel like they are being attacked. My gut extends and I get itchy and sometimes break out in red spots all over my face and neck and hands. My kidneys feel like they are rotting. I will wake up the next day and be swollen from head to toe and these symptoms can last months.
Now from all of my research as well as other family members, including someone who has some medical background, everything points to an autoimmune issue. My symptoms line up with everything I have read as well as what others have said about their own autoimmune disease.

I would go with rheumatologist and a hematologist. Just be forewarned-I saw a rheumatologist once because my joints are very arthritic from osteoarthritis and he just told me I was young and find and dismissed me. He did not even look at my sealed x rays I brought with me because they were still sealed. So be prepared if you are young to be dismissed.They think everyone just wants drugs nowadays.

Have you heard of Lupus? Have you ever looked up the symptoms. The rash on the face is one of the symptoms. Lupus.org has more info. The site has a database for resources by state. A rheumatologist is who would diagnose you. Look the doctors up on yelp for reviews. Ask your gp for referral.

I have heard of it and its on my list of possibilities. Thank you for the information. As scary as this is, I am hopeful they will figure this out and help me.
