I am not recommending it — I gave it a 2 out of 5 on my Good Reads review. (The only books I give 1’s are the ones I DNF). Some parts, I was rolling my eyes.
But I did find just a couple chapters/ideas worthy of reflection:
1) that therapy has more iatrogenic effects (causes harm instead of helping) far more frequently than we realize
2) gentle parenting movement & focusing so intensely on emotions has done more harm than good and contributed to the increasing mental health problems of our teens and young adults.
Was just curious if any other moms had thought about it.
Anybody read “Bad Therapy”?
Reflection during therapy was regressive for me.
I agree that gentle parenting is too soft so to speak.
