His lawyers said in the filing that Trump and the Trump Organization (the real estate and golf resort company) have been unable to find any bondman or bank to accept his property as collateral. And he cannot produce the cash needed for bond to move forward with an appeal of the judgement.

His attorneys are asking for the appeal to move forward even though the bond has not been posted, legally a requirement. That judge also rejected an offer of a $100 million bond in lieu of the full amount. A full panel will soon examine the same issues.
