His lawyers said in the filing that Trump and the Trump Organization (the real estate and golf resort company) have been unable to find any bondman or bank to accept his property as collateral. And he cannot produce the cash needed for bond to move forward with an appeal of the judgement.
Donald Trump has been unable to finance an appeal bond for at least $450 million to cover a judgment in the New York attorney general’s business fraud case against him and is seeking a lifeline from an appellate court to keep the state from seizing assets, according to a court filing Monday.

His attorneys are asking for the appeal to move forward even though the bond has not been posted, legally a requirement. I have not read any account of the judgement being lowered as an option.
The legal team behind Trump, a Republican campaigning against President Biden in the 2024 election, recently failed to get an emergency appeals judge to put off the 30-day deadline that the attorney general has imposed to give the company time to fulfill its appeal bond obligation. That judge also rejected an offer of a $100 million bond in lieu of the full amount. A full panel will soon examine the same issues.

Or the golden sneakers, or the Trump inspired baseball cards, the Trump dollar coin, the Trump dollar bill, the Trump bitcoin, The Trump mugshot, or the Trump toilet paper......hmm who would've thought that all his money making ventures would fail the same way Trump Steaks and Trump college did.
