I say get rid of anything older than 6 months, EXCEPT "helpful" posts - if you have time to sort them. I.E. If someone asks for recipes on ____________ and it's mostly recipe suggestions or advice on homeschooling or cleaning, etc.

I would need the moderators to sift through all of the topics and then sticky them in order to do that and they might hate me if I make them sift through thousands of posts

I’m all for purging - both inactive members and posts.

And as much as I enjoy the Meme forum, it’s pretty ridiculous that each meme is it’s own thread. That’s a forum that could use an overhaul. Plus in N&P, the multiple threads on the same news item gets really tiring. Other boards are strict to keep it to one and that’s more helpful.

Overall though I think you should do what you feel is best for the site you pay for and you manage.
