I am asking for a friend.
Every time she eats something with fat in it she gets sick to her stomach and in severe pain.
They checked her gallbladder. They said she did not have stones and had a small amount of sludge. It was removed and things got better for about a month or so and now they are back to her being sick if she eats fat.
She is taking a probitoic to help with digestion.
It's possible she has a gallstone stuck in her bile duct which she is going to get checked for. That would be a different surgery than having had her gallbladder out before.
Can anyone think of anything else that would cause her being sick when she eats fat? Fat free stuff she's fine..but any amount of fat and she's sick.

Problem solved
You're welcome
Right side, left side, right in the middle. high, low, is it near her pelvis or near her ribs? Does the pain extend anywhere else?
Need more specific information.
I am not providing info as a medical provider, just a random internet stranger, lol...
Postchlolecystectomy syndrome is not common but does occur.
If she had relief, but now has recurrent inflammatory symptoms, I agree that more imaging like a CT, with cholangiography or a MRCP would be beneficial for her, as some people can have residual biliary inflammation, injury, or retained stone. This is a good first step and I would just focus on getting answers from that.
Causes outside of the biliary system could be a variety of things, irritable bowel syndrome, pancreatic enzyme deficiency, or other GI issues. Hopefully she can find a provider she trusts to get to the bottom of the issue.

She can certainly have a stone stuck in her liver duct. There's a product by Planetary Herbal called Stone Free. It helps break down stones (kidney, liver, gallbladder). And drinking unfiltered apple juice with a shot of raw apple cider vinegar will help with the pain. Been there, done that. The vinegar and apple juice will help the stone pass as well as the pent up gas that's causing pain. She should look into trying a digestive enzyme when she eats her biggest meals.
