This was recently discussed on Bill Maher. I don’t typically watch that type of show but there were some interesting talking points and opinions. I had looked for the skit after since I’d never seen it. I thought one of the panelists I think it was Killer Mike? made an interesting statement that boils down to the need for taking into account the times it was done in addition to intent. Still can’t find a clip of the skit though.

Killer Mike sounds about right. I think we have lost the concept of context, intent, etc.

This cancel culture is so unreasonable, I hope it balances itself out eventually. I hope it’s not long term.
