Ok, I have passively mention suicide before, should the cops come and check on me? Even though I have addressed my issues. Police are not mental health professionals. Their presence could make an unstable person worse. I would never invite the police into someone’s life. They are not as helpful or sympathetic as people hope.

And they would be looking for an immediate threat and danger. Not something that was said weeks ago or months ago.
