The economist/Yougov poll asked, “Do you think the federal government should or should not ask people whether they are American citizens as part of the 2020 census?”53% of respondents said that the federal government should indeed ask that question, with only 32% disagreeing and 14% unsure.

This polled liberal as well as conservatives. There is no way to tell of that 53% who answered favorably for including citizenship question was conservative or liberal.

Do we need to know, if these people were randomly chosen?

Personally, I think the citizen question should be a part of the census question, to get a better idea of the current population.

Well yeah because Waters is implying that this is a poll of liberal voters.

It was on there for 70 years. It only came off because Obama took it off. The democrats want it to stay off because districts are drawn according to population. That means more representatives for areas with large illegal immigrant population. Honestly districts should be drawn according to legal citizen population.
