Keanu Reeves may be ‘breathtaking’ to his adoring fans but he’s still not taking any chances in the midst of the #MeToo movement, as it’s come to light the Hollywood icon doesn’t touch women when taking photos.

But while fans are racing to take selfies with the actor, Keanu is keeping a firm distance – to a certain extent at least. Social media user Kemoy Lindsay appears to be the first fan to notice that Keanu refrains from touching women in photos, writing: ‘Lol Keanu ain’t taking no chances.’

I figured the “ pence effect” was about Vice President Pence saying he avoids being alone with women but I wanted to look up and see what the “ pence effect” search showed up. This article says it’s discrimination against women. Damn if you do damn if you don’t.

I think both men and women would be wise to avoid touching anyone else in today's social and political world where things are assumed and insinuated.

Keanu has had this habit for decades - look at older photos from the 90's and you will see him doing the same thing. He attributed this to having an English mother, and having good manners and formality stressed from an early age.

He has always done this. It’s about respect, not fear. Don’t touch people without express consent, it’s that F***ing simple. Only conservatives could turn it into an attack against women.
