These claims never pan out but wow I hope it’s him and not a hoax.

I always thought the mother likely killed him since she took her own life.

Yikes.. I've never heard this story before. I'm sure they are doing bloodwork to see if he matches his father or not. I hope the family gets closure and this isn't a scam.

never heard of this case before. I am guessing the mom was on drugs or something and in a drugged out state gave her kid to some shady people. Lord knows what they made him do-probably some child porn or prostitution.

I just saw this on the news and only have very vague memories of the story.

I hope it’s true, and if it’s not I hope the boy gets the help he needs, cause either way, he clearly needs some kind of help.

And it sounds like she could very well of given the kid to some shady people to hide him because of her paranoia. Or he ran off and didn't call the police because he was affected by her paranoia and fell into shady people. Or someone killed her and faked a note. Who knows? She also could have been on drugs as well as ill.

I did read the article. Drug addicts often have mental illness and often will kill themselves too.

In most cases where a parent is dead due to suicide and a child is missing, the child is dead.
