So if money and mobility matter, a new job is almost always the way to go. Rarely can you get the salary at a current employer after several years, that you can get upon getting hired at a new company.
My advice: you are overthinking this - if you have an inkling, this is not the right fit, start job searching & interviewing. You do not have to quit or even take the job, but you know what options are there.
