We are not getting any snow, but we are getting ice. The northern 3rd of Alabama is effectively closed until it gets above freezing. Hopefully that’ll be tomorrow afternoon sometime, but I don’t know. Schools are closed tomorrow. There is a strong possibility they’ll be closed Wednesday as well.

It’s freezing here. I want the snow back.
It's 11 degrees feels like -1 and the ground is covered in snow. I need to go our and give my animals some fresh, liquid water.

It's 34 and rainy here..a high of 36. Umm.. I live in Atlanta. I protest! My dd's college closed for today. It came across my FB late last night that all campuses were closed due to the weather. She went back to school yesterday after coming home for a long weekend due to MLK day yesterday. So, no bio and chem for her today. I'm sure she is still snoozing since she doesn't have to go to class at 10.

How is it 34 in Atlanta and 14 here in NE AL? It’s only like 2 1/2 hours apart. It’s only supposed to get colder tonight.mcginnisc wrote: ↑Tue Jan 16, 2024 8:49 am It's 34 and rainy here..a high of 36. Umm.. I live in Atlanta. I protest! My dd's college closed for today. I feel that meme so deeply.. we have 16 mph winds that make it much colder. I dread having to go to work later. It will be 31 with winds of 17 mph when I have to be there..when dd and I leave work, it will 22 with 12 mph winds. I don't like it. It's 27 with 14 mph winds at dd's school in Dahlonega according to the Weather Channel app. This crap sucks. I live in the south for a reason. I had to stay in town for the week so I could get to work, and left the kids at home. We got about 15 inches, and my private drive became a disaster so the local pizza place owner came out and towed them to the end of my driveway lol I also woke up to a frozen well this morning.
