While herd immunity does exist vaccinated kids can get measles just as an unvaccinated child can. So you do what you feel is best for your kid—bottle feed or breast feed, circumcise or don’t, vaccinate or don’t. Just so long as at the end of the day you feel as a parent that you did what was right for YOUR child. Tell ya what, I will do the same!

So a girl here was just diagnosed with measles a couple of weeks ago. She got it overseas. The thing is maybe doctors should get their acts together. Her parents took her to 3 different emergency rooms over the course of a week and were turned away each time saying it was just a virus and would pass. None of them were able to identify it until at the 3rd one the parents insisted they test for it. Still the doctors didn't take it seriously and it took 3 days for them to get the test results back.
Meanwhile they put an immune compromised child in the same room after her.
They say the doctors were unable to recognize it as measles because they just aren't properly trained to identify measles anymore. Well if its such a huge problem shouldn't they be training the doctors? Instead a lot of people were exposed for no reason.

No, not just as an unvaccinated child can. We all know nothing is 100% when it comes to medicine. But a vaccinated child has a much lesser chance of getting infected. In fact, it’s pretty rare. So while it can happen, it certainly doesn’t happen just as it could with an unvaccinated child.

But it's MUCH less likely, and if they do get it, they're more likely to have a mild case because of the protections from the vaccine. And refusing to provide your child with protection against preventable diseases that can be deadly can hardly be classified as "doing what's best" for them.

Did anyone see the law and order SVU episode where the unvax kid got the measles they went to Central Park and he infected a baby who was too young to get the mmr vaccine. The baby died. The unvax kid lived.

A baby had to die because a parent didn't want to vax her kid. All she thought about was HER CHILD! And what SHE WANTED. f**k everyone else health safety and well being. Because of her selfishness a BABY HAD TO DIE!
