The 16-year-old boy was charged with criminal mischief in the third degree, a felony, and making graffiti, which is a misdemeanor, for allegedly defacing the 107th Infantry Memorial during an unruly demonstration on Monday night.
The youngster has been a regular face at rallies organized by the anti-Israel group Within Our Lifetime, according to sources.

The NYP article is saying the police are refuting the story of the father turning the son in.
Not a big deal that might be made into a bigger deal should the thread grow into yet another finger pointing sesh.
The point is, the kid was arrested and will hopefully understand that vandalism is not a right. It's a crime.
His fun is hopefully over.

Kudos to the dad, if he did. It must heartbreaking to have to do that. But it was also the right thing for his son. That kid is practically in a cult. He was indoctrinated and radicalized and the first step to deprogram him is having face consequences for the actions this cult incited him to do. Hopefully they’ll look for help for this kid because at 16 there’s still hope that he can get out and do something positive with his life.

If this riot was organized by WOL-and I’m sure it was- the leaders should face charges as well. Although Nerdeen Kiswani has been arrested a number of times, but this is NYC. She gets a slap on the wrist and an hour later she’s released and goes back to inciting hate and violence with impunity
