"Three years after the Capitol insurrection, extremist, far-right militias — many already banned by Facebook — are back on the platform. This time, they appear more organized, smarter and more encouraged by Meta’s indifference toward enforcing previous bans. The groups are quite open about their particular niche ideology, such as antigovernment Three Percenter beliefs, and about advertising meetups and combat training to prepare, as one recruiter wrote, for “what’s coming.” Whatever that is."

"Katie Paul, director of the Tech Transparency Project, told Wired she has monitored hundreds of militias and related groups for the last three years and finds them “increasingly emboldened with more serious and coordinated organizing in the past year.”
They want a war.
They want a war.

In the United States in 2022, 48 percent of Republicans reported that they owned at least one gun, and 66 percent said that they lived in a household with a gun.
In comparison, only 20 percent of Democrats owned at least one gun, and 31 percent lived a gun household.
Only 3 people brought a gun on January 6th. And none of them shot anybody.
They’re not starting a war…
It’s just more fear mongering…

Although federal law-enforcement attention has had a cooling effect, other people inspired by events at the Capitol may now seek out the more violent nostalgic groups for future action. Churchill told me that “there is convergence of apocalypticism, coming from the [militia] movement, and from QAnon, and from Evangelical Christianity. What we really saw on January 6 was not just the [militia] movement but a whole broader phenomenon.”

A majority of those who were present on January 6th were not arrested on that day so there is no way to tell how many did or did not have guns. Guns are not the only weapon and 85 rioters were charged with carrying a weapon. 114 Capitol Police were injured that day for goodness sake.Slimshandy wrote: ↑Wed May 08, 2024 2:11 pm Published by Statista Research Department, Apr 26, 2024

In addition, police found a cache of weapons in a hotel room (Rhodes) presumably to arm the Oath Keepers who were present.
Lonnie Coffman was arrested with a cache of guns and molotov cocktails in his truck - he has ties to militia groups who were present on January 6th
Reffit(?) brought a handgun onto capitol grounds - he's a member of Three Percenters who were present on January 6th
It's so discouraging to see people paint the J6-ers as just a rag tag group of Patriots. It was a coordinated insurrection involving various militia groups. These groups are white supremacist groups - not the good guys.
They organized before via social media and it is concerning, or at least it should be, that they are organizing again via social media and they probably learned from mistakes. They are not organizing to ensure that there is a peaceful transition if Trump wins the election. They are organizing to ensure that he is the next president if he loses. The only reason to be unconcerned is if you would like to see Trump as president by any means.

It actually seems as if the far left are the ones who want to wage war against America… they don’t even hide it anymore.
And their “guns” are indoctrination and radicalization

A coordinated insurrection probably would have worked a lot better if they did all bring guns…WellPreserved wrote: ↑Wed May 08, 2024 2:56 pmA majority of those who were present on January 6th were not arrested on that day so there is no way to tell how many did or did not have guns. Seems like if they didn’t do any of the shit that far right militias do when they train, they weren’t going with a goal of what they train to do…Della wrote: ↑Sat May 11, 2024 9:11 amYou should probably help them coordinate next time.Slimshandy wrote: ↑Sat May 11, 2024 7:33 amA coordinated insurrection probably would have worked a lot better if they did all bring guns…WellPreserved wrote: ↑Wed May 08, 2024 2:56 pm
