I want to become Catholic.

My patr al grandmother was a devout Catholic until her death. My mother thinks Catholic denomination is for lack of a better word, wrong. She made my Dad convert to what ever Protestant church didn’t piss her off at that moment…so I was baptized a Presbyterian, and confirmed a Lutheran.

My husband however is a baptized and confirmed Catholic, having graduated as well from a Catholic high school. When we pulled the boys from public school we enrolled them in Catholic school. That led to them attending mass on Wednesday and our attending as a family on Sundays, I too would like to convert so I can take communion with my husband-something in 26 yrs of marriage we have never done together.

So…with that said, if you truly want to convert then convert. Just make sure the drive is there and don’t worry what anyone else will think.
